"A River Runs Through It"

Hello there, thank you for very waiting. I’m David. So, today, I’ll introduce “A River Runs Through It”.
In 1992, Robert Redford directed this film staring Brad Pitt.
Today’s phrase is this one!!

I’m not sure I want to leave.

A man, Norman, will go to Chicago to be a professor.
But he can’t make up his mind because of his girlfriend in Montana.
Then he tells her that. Finally, this phrase comes out.

I’m not sure I want to leave.

He realizes he’s in love with her by himself.
This is very simple and very easy to understand.

The movie is not only the love between a man and a woman.
This is a story of very beautiful brother love.
Moreover, their father’s preach as a Christian minister is very beautiful too.

I know this is a good lesson for you.
Let’s use these phrase from now!!

"Breakfast at TIFANY’S"

Hello there, thank you for waiting. I’m David.
Well, I’ll introduce “Breakfast at TIFANY’S”, Audrey Hepburn movie.
Today’s phrase is this one!!

He’s absolutely cuckoo for me.

Audrey, as Holly Golightly, said this phrase. I want you to look at the word, “cuckoo”.
This word means a bird. You know Japanese call this bird “KAKKO”.
“KAKKO” is named after his voice, KAKKO. The same is English “cuckoo”.
Japanese and westerner are brothers, aren’t they? haha
And “cuckoo” means crazy or silly too. It is this meaning that time.
In other words, He’s absolutely crazy for me.

Who dose she think she is? haha

I’m really cuckoo for Audrey.

P.S.
I didn’t miss what she said French.
Et pourquoi pas?
It means, “And why not?”

I know this is a good lesson for you.
Let’s use these phrase from now!!

Introduction

I love movies, especially, Hollywood one.
I want to understand meanings of English in movies directly.
So I quote most impressive word in a movie and interpret the expressions.
I try to read not only language but also culture.
I make effort to understand the movie from the original language.
This is a road to real world of movie.
